air conditionerWhen the summer heat blazes down upon us, most of us will turn on the air conditioning unit and allow it to work its magic. The A/C is strong and powerful and quickly cools down the place without hassle. But, there are some A/C units that wreak havoc to your walls. These damages can be very costly and make your home look less than charming. What can you do? Is suffering through the sweltering heat your only option? Luckily for you it is not your only option and there are many things that you can do to find an A/C unit that will not tear up the walls.

Weigh all of the Options

There are many different types of air conditioning units that you can purchase. Many of these units are placed on the outside of your home so there is no potential of causing damage to the walls. A central air unit is one of those choices. Most homes these days have a central air unit for their air supply. They are much more affordable to operate than traditional cooling units, and since they are placed outside of your home there is no risk of your walls incurring any damage at all.

How About a Ductless air System?

While not as popular as the Central air unit, a ductless system is quickly catching on. It is an energy-efficient, cost effective cooling unit that is easy to install without the worry of tearing up your walls. There are many brands offering ductless air systems, so this is another choice that most any budget can tolerate.

Both of these systems work wonderfully to cool down your home. They are affordable to operate and certainly beneficial as there is no worry that you are going to cause any damage to your home. There is another option as well, though it is not as good as the two listed above.

A window-mounted unit is also a consideration for an air cooling unit. There is a bit of risk to damaging your walls when you choose a window mounted unit, but if you are careful and provide the proper measurements, this risk is very minimal.

As you can see there are quite a few options available to help you choose an AC unit that will not tear up your walls. Look at each of the choices available to you and then decide what is best. Take a look at reviews, BBB readings, and other information to help you choose. All of this can be found on the web at no cost to you. It is certainly worth your time to access this information and learn as much as you can about the units.

When the day is done, the central heat and air system is the unit that most professionals would recommend to those worried about damaging their home. The unit keeps the home cool and peaceful without any risk of tearing up the walls. It is affordable to purchase and definitely an energy-efficient option. Make this selection if you want to go with the choices the pros recommend.

Client Testimonials

The thing that differentiates J&N from any other contractor I know is that you can TRUST them whole heartedly. You can trust that they will give you the most accurate estimate possible, that they will communicate throughout the job how things are going and when there is new information that might effect the cost or finish time, and that it will be a job well done, to code and with care. Jim and Nancy have helped me on every aspect of my home – they replaced my knob and tube wiring, put in a new kitchen, built me a deck, custom designed and installed stain glass, designed and built me a new stairway and banister that match the one built in 1923, repaired my lathe and plaster, tiled my bathroom and kitchen, you name it – they've done it ! I trust J&N and thank them for making my house a home and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a contractor you can trust to get the job done right.
